Translation
(48-1) In our cellar our mother often found worms among the food.
(48-2) She remembered the ancient people's stories that we have forgotten. She was always frightened to see that worm, because she thought that something bad would happen.
(48-3) She used to say that it called down trouble.
(48-4) She took a knife and cut it with the knife in several places.
(48-5) Then she said: "If white juice comes out, everything will be all right. If juice similar to blood comes out, it will call down some trouble."
